Session Guidelines

All tutoring sessions are conducted remotely via Zoom or similar video conferencing platforms. Sessions are typically 60 minutes in length, with 45-minute sessions available for focused review.

  • Students should have a quiet, distraction-free environment for sessions
  • Required technology: computer/tablet with webcam, microphone, and stable internet
  • Digital whiteboard and screen sharing will be used for collaborative work
  • Session recordings may be provided upon request for review purposes

Scheduling and Attendance

Regular attendance is crucial for academic progress. We work together to establish a consistent schedule that fits your availability.

  • Sessions should be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance
  • Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared with materials
  • Consistent weekly scheduling is recommended for best results
  • Make-up sessions may be arranged for excused absences

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

We understand that schedules can change. Please follow these guidelines for cancellations and rescheduling:

  • 24+ hours notice: Full rescheduling allowed with no penalty
  • Less than 24 hours: Session may be forfeited unless due to emergency
  • Emergency situations: Illness, family emergency, or technical issues are excused
  • No-shows: Sessions will be charged and may not be rescheduled
  • Tutor cancellations: Full refund or rescheduling at student's preference

Academic Integrity

Maintaining academic integrity is fundamental to the tutoring relationship. Our role is to guide and teach, not to complete work for students.

  • We provide guidance, explanation, and teaching strategies
  • We do not complete homework assignments, projects, or take exams for students
  • We help students understand concepts so they can work independently
  • We encourage original thinking and proper citation practices
  • Any concerns about academic dishonesty will be addressed immediately

Payment Terms

Clear payment terms ensure a smooth tutoring experience for all parties.

  • Payment is due before the first session of each package
  • Individual sessions require payment 24 hours in advance
  • Accepted payment methods: credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, bank transfers
  • Package sessions must be used within 6 months of purchase
  • Receipts will be provided for all payments

Refund Policy

We stand behind the quality of our tutoring services and offer fair refund policies.

  • First session guarantee: Full refund if not completely satisfied
  • Package refunds: Unused sessions refunded within 30 days of purchase
  • Partial refunds: Available for unused sessions in exceptional circumstances
  • Processing time: Refunds processed within 5-7 business days

Communication and Progress

Regular communication ensures students stay on track and parents stay informed.

  • Email support included between sessions for quick questions
  • Progress reports provided for longer packages
  • Parent communication available for students under 18
  • Response time: within 24 hours for non-urgent matters

All necessary digital materials and resources are provided as part of the tutoring service.

  • Access to online tools and collaborative platforms
  • Study guides and reference materials provided
  • Textbook recommendations available but not required

Confidentiality

Student privacy and confidentiality are strictly maintained. Academic performance, session content, and personal information are kept confidential and shared only with parents/guardians of minor students or as required by law.

Policy Changes

This tutoring policy may be updated from time to time. Students and parents will be notified of any significant changes via email. Continued use of tutoring services constitutes acceptance of any policy updates.
